Emmy and Golden Globe winner Julia Garner has secured her next exciting role in the upcoming film “Wolf Man,” directed by Leigh Whannell. In this thrilling movie, Garner will play the role of a mother whose family is under attack by a deadly predator. Interestingly, she will reunite with Christopher Abbott, her co-star from the 2011 film “Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene,” which marked her professional acting debut.

Since her impressive debut, Garner has emerged as a prominent figure in both the film and television industry. Her exceptional performance as Ruth Langmore in the acclaimed series “Ozark” earned her three Emmy awards. Additionally, she received multiple nominations for her portrayal of real-life con artist Anna Delvey in Shonda Rhimes’ limited series “Inventing Anna.”

In the world of film, Garner’s talent was recognized with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her outstanding lead role in Kitty Green’s “The Assistant.” Last year, she collaborated with Green once again on another critically acclaimed feature called “The Royal Hotel,” which she also produced under her Alma Margo production banner. Garner’s future projects include the psychological thriller “Apartment 7A,” produced by John Krasinski and Paramount.

Universal Studios became acquainted with Garner during the auditions for the untitled Madonna biopic, which is currently on hold. Despite the delay, Garner’s connection with Madonna led her to make a special appearance on stage with the pop superstar last month.

Directed by Leigh Whannell, “Wolf Man” is set to follow the success of his previous film, “The Invisible Man,” which revitalized the Universal Monsters franchise and earned $144 million at the global box office. Whannell’s collaboration with Blumhouse Productions continues as “Wolf Man” becomes his fourth film under their banner, following “The Invisible Man,” “Upgrade,” and “Insidious: Chapter 3.” The screenplay is co-written by Whannell, Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo. Producer Jason Blum, alongside Blumhouse and Motel Movies, will bring this intense thriller to audiences on October 25.

Julia Garner is represented by UTA, LBI Entertainment, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
