Emily abandoned her Spanx in the bathroom during a wedding

A mom has made a bold decision to never wear shapewear again, embracing her body with pride. In fact, she believes it should be considered a “crime” to cover up her natural curves.

Emily, also known as thevondyfam on TikTok, shared her powerful message through a video that quickly went viral. She took off her $98 Spanx in the bathroom at a wedding and declared, “I shouldn’t be ashamed of a little jiggle right here.”

As a mother who has given birth to healthy children, Emily refuses to feel shame about how her body looks. In fact, she believes that the more confident and sexy moms embrace their post-baby bodies, the more society will follow suit. She exclaims, “What a crime it is to cage this caboose! How am I going to shake what my mama gave me when it’s caged?”

She points out the absurdity of society’s expectations, saying, “Honesty, screw the standard that says women’s bodies have to be seamless. No dimples, no rolls, seamless. I’m over it.” It’s time to reject the idea that we should squeeze ourselves into spandex that restricts our breathing and causes stomach aches. Why do we do it? To look thinner? Emily says, “It’s a no for me.”

She shook her belly as she embraced being free from restricting shapewear

By letting go of shapewear, Emily has not only embraced her body but also improved her experience on the dance floor. She proudly proclaims, “I will let that thang thang until the day I die.” No more cages for our bodies to fit into a standard that is impossible to achieve.

Emily’s message resonated with many women who supported her decision. One woman even humorously admitted that she only wears shapewear to prevent “thigh fires.” The overwhelming response from viewers was clear: “For the love of all things good and holy, don’t cage the caboose!”

It’s time to celebrate our bodies, embrace our natural curves, and reject the unrealistic standards imposed upon us. If you love wearing shapewear, that’s perfectly fine. But if you’re like Emily and hate it, know that you don’t have to wear it. You are beautiful just the way you are. So say goodbye to Spanx and hello to confidence!
