Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly in talks with Club Brugge over the possible signing of Norwegian wonderkid Antonio Nusa. The 18-year-old is considered one of Europe’s most exciting young talents, attracting interest from top clubs like Chelsea. To secure Nusa’s services, the Belgian giants are demanding a fee of £25 million. However, any potential deal must include an agreement that Nusa will remain in North London for the rest of the season. It’s worth noting that Brugge rejected a £23 million offer from Chelsea during the summer transfer window. If the move materializes, Nusa could be loaned back to Brugge initially, just like previous signings Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr, who are now regular fixtures in their respective first teams.

After his recent sacking by Roma, Jose Mourinho looks set to make an immediate return to management with Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab. The former Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham boss has reportedly agreed to take over the reins of the Saudi outfit. Mourinho held positive talks with Al-Shabab’s chiefs, including a Zoom meeting with sporting director Dominico Tite. The Saudi Pro League’s recruitment team has already given permission for discussions on a lucrative contract. Mourinho is expected to fly to Riyadh in the coming days to finalize the terms of his new deal.

Troy Deeney’s first venture into management at Forest Green Rovers has come to an abrupt end. The former Watford striker was sacked before even receiving his first payslip. Deeney was in charge of the League Two club’s bottom-ranked team for just six matches. While the club cited poor results as the reason for his dismissal, Deeney feels that he was merely used for his contacts and influence. He claims that he brought in five players during the transfer window, including Maxi Oyedele on loan from Manchester United, who would not have joined Forest Green if not for his involvement. Deeney questions whether he was really the problem or if the club’s constant change of managers—eight in less than three years—is the root cause. Despite his short tenure, Deeney believes that the team was on the verge of turning things around.
