Natural History Museum’s Dippy 50p

The Natural History Museum’s diplodocus cast, famously known as “Dippy,” has inspired another collectible 50p coin. This coin is the third and final coin in The Mint’s dinosaur range, which also includes a tyrannosaurus and stegosaurus. Each dinosaur design was created by paleo-artist Robert Nicholls, with guidance from Professor Paul Barrett at the Natural History Museum. The full collection of dinosaur coins launched on The Royal Mint’s website on March 14, with prices starting at £11.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon 50p

Calling all Star Wars fans! The iconic spaceship, The Millennium Falcon, is now featured on a brand new 50p coin. This coin is part of The Royal Mint’s collection that celebrates the famous spacecraft from the beloved sci-fi franchise. Alongside The Millennium Falcon, coins depicting the TIE Fighter, X-Wing, and Death Star II will be launched later this year. The Falcon coin also features the Rebel Alliance Starbird symbol. Prices for these coins range from £11 for a Falcon 50p to £2,770 for a gold-proof coin. Star Wars enthusiasts can also purchase bullion bars inspired by the franchise, available in gold and silver.
