ESPN’s Pat McAfee finds himself in the midst of a growing problem. He publicly attacked Norby Williamson, a longtime ESPN executive, accusing him of actively trying to sabotage him by leaking information to reporters.

McAfee’s show on ESPN has been facing scrutiny lately, with relatively low ratings compared to other shows on the network. McAfee believes that Williamson may have leaked the idea for a critical story about his ratings to a New York Post reporter.

While there is no concrete evidence to support these claims, other ESPN talents have speculated over the years that Williamson may have leaked private details, including contract information. Jemele Hill, a former ESPN journalist, even showed her support for McAfee’s comments about Williamson on social media.

However, ESPN values the importance of both McAfee and Williamson and is looking into the details of the situation. There is no planned suspension for McAfee, and the network hopes to find a resolution for both parties.

In addition to this controversy, McAfee recently faced backlash for providing a platform for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to make inaccurate statements about a fellow Disney employee. Rodgers suggested that Jimmy Kimmel would be included in court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, which Kimmel vehemently denied. McAfee later apologized for the incident.

ESPN also addressed Rodgers’ comments about Kimmel, acknowledging that it was a dumb and factually inaccurate joke. The network admitted that it should never have happened.

It’s worth noting that McAfee has paid Rodgers millions to appear on his show. Despite the controversy surrounding McAfee, the former NFL punter has a large fan base and has signed an $85 million contract with ESPN.
