When Phoebe Dynevor came across the script for “Fair Play,” a relationship thriller set in the competitive world of hedge funds, she was instantly captivated. The opening scene, in which a couple’s romantic interlude is interrupted by an unexpected turn of events, intrigued her. It was a moment she hadn’t seen in a movie before and she knew that this story was going to take her somewhere special.

“Fair Play” not only delves into taboo subjects but also weaves a complex narrative that explores gender dynamics in the workplace and relationships, with a focus on male fragility and female rage. These were all topics that resonated with Dynevor on a personal level.

In an interview with F5 Magazine, the 28-year-old actor from Manchester, England, expressed how she connected with her character Emily in “Fair Play.” She described it as a story that every woman can relate to, in some small way.

After skyrocketing to fame with her role in “Bridgerton,” Dynevor found herself in the spotlight. However, she admits that the sudden success caught her off guard, and she struggled with finding her voice and sense of self amidst the fame. But now, she’s feeling lighter and more focused on her future projects.

Dynevor is set to star in two upcoming movies, “Anniversary” and a spy thriller called “Inheritance.” She is also considering stepping into the role of Lois Lane in James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy.” Dynevor sees Lois Lane as a fearless and intelligent character who saves Superman, and it’s a part she would love to play.

While she plans to be selective with her future roles, Dynevor is determined to find those rare moments that make her say, “Oh, my God, this is why I do what I do!” She wants to be fully invested in the characters she portrays and continue to bring compelling stories to life on the big screen.
