Mr. Bean Animated Series

After much anticipation, the beloved “Mr. Bean: The Animated Series” is set to make a comeback with its fourth season in 2025. This exciting news comes as Banijay’s Tiger Aspect Kids & Family has commissioned the series in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, through deals agreed by Banijay Rights.

A Whole New Adventure

Executive produced and voiced by the talented Rowan Atkinson himself, Season 4 of “Mr. Bean: The Animated Series” will consist of 52 episodes, each running for 11 minutes. This brings the total number of episodes across all series to an impressive 182. The new season is set to air on Cartoonito and HBO Max across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels and streaming services. South and Southeast Asian viewers can also catch the series on ITVX Kids.

Mischievous Antics Await

For those unfamiliar with the show, the animated series follows the misadventures of the beloved Mr. Bean and his faithful companion, Teddy. Together, they embark on a series of hilarious escapades, always managing to create mischief along the way. The series is produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, with Tom Beattie serving as the managing director and executive producer. Dave Osborne will be directing the series, while Arnold Widdowson takes on the role of producer. The head writers of the series are Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.

A Legendary Icon Returns

The original live-action “Mr. Bean” series, co-created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, made its debut in 1990. Atkinson has since lent his voice to the animated series, which was launched in 2002. The show has been broadcast in 195 territories, with continuous distribution for over 30 years. Mr. Bean boasts an impressive following, with approximately 140 million followers on Meta, 72 million subscribers, and 19 billion lifetime views across official YouTube channels. Additionally, Mr. Bean has garnered 10 million followers on Instagram and 14.2 million likes on TikTok.

Excitement and Creativity Await

Rowan Atkinson expressed his excitement for the new series, stating, “I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr. Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences. The animation process creatively is always fascinating, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much.”
