Billie Eilish Receives Chairman’s Award
Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas made history as they became the first songwriters ever to receive the Chairman’s Award for their chart-topping song, “What Was I Made For?” from the movie “Barbie.” In her acceptance speech, Eilish touched on the personal meaning of the emotional song and dedicated her award to anyone who has experienced hopelessness and existential dread. She candidly shared her own struggles and advised others to be patient with themselves, reminding them that life is worth living.
