Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill should have much more to celebrate

Here are the six Premier League players under 23 that caught the attention of Troy Deeney. In addition, there’s one talented player from the Championship. Despite a mediocre first half of the season for both Manchester United and Chelsea, they each have two rising stars in their ranks.

Michael Olise – Crystal Palace winger, 22

One player that Deeney is particularly excited about is Michael Olise. Known for his explosiveness, tight control, and goal-scoring ability, Olise has impressed many, including Arsene Wenger who hailed him as one of the best young talents. Despite limited game time this season due to injuries, Olise has managed to score five goals and provide one assist in just nine games.

Colwill impressed during the Under-21 Euros and seamlessly returned to Chelsea after a loan spell at Brighton. He is tipped to become one of the Premier League’s best centre-backs.

Rasmus Hojlund – Man Utd striker, 20

Despite struggling to find the net in a struggling Manchester United team, Rasmus Hojlund is a player to watch out for. Deeney describes him as sharp, responsive, and possessing good finishing skills. Though he has only scored one Premier League goal so far, Hojland causes defenders plenty of problems and has the potential to improve with better delivery from his teammates.
