The National Society of Film Critics has revealed the winners of its highly esteemed 58th annual awards. Each year, the organization’s panel of renowned film critics, including Owen Gleiberman and Peter Debruge from Variety, selects the most outstanding accomplishments in the world of cinema. This year, Celine Song’s “Past Lives” emerged as the recipient of the coveted Best Picture award.
“Past Lives” is an enchanting romantic drama that tells the story of Nora (Greta Lee) and Hae Sung (Teo Yoo), childhood sweethearts who find each other again after years apart. The film also secured a nomination for Best Screenplay.
Andrew Scott earned the title of Best Actor for his remarkable performance in “All of Us Strangers,” while Charles Melton was recognized as the Best Supporting Actor for his role in “May December.”
In the Best Actress category, Sandra Hüller took home the top honor for her exceptional work in both “Anatomy of a Fall” and “The Zone of Interest.” Da’Vine Joy Randolph was acknowledged as the Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Holdovers.”
