Jennifer Lopez is back with an exciting new single, “Can’t Get Enough,” accompanied by a captivating music video. Directed by Dave Meyers, the video playfully references J. Lo’s past marriages, taking viewers on a journey through her wedding ceremonies. The guests even place bets on the duration of each marriage, adding a touch of humor to the visuals. As the video concludes, Lopez boldly sits in front of the camera while voiceovers from her assumed exes express their grievances.
“Can’t Get Enough” serves as the lead single from Lopez’s upcoming ninth album, “This Is Me… Now,” set to release on February 16. This album is a nod to her previous project, “This Is Me… Then,” which celebrated its 20th anniversary in November. In that album, Lopez explored her relationship with actor Ben Affleck, featuring him in the music video for “Jenny from the Block” and dedicating a song titled “Dear Ben” to him.
Building on that foundation, “This Is Me… Now” continues the story as Lopez and Affleck reunited, leading up to the recording of the new album and their subsequent elopement. Alongside presumed romantic odes like “Mad in Love” and “Greatest Love Story Never Told,” Lopez includes a sequel to “Dear Ben” and likely references her marriage to Affleck on “Midnight Trip to Vegas.”
The album was written and recorded primarily at Lopez’s Los Angeles home from 2022 through last year. Lopez collaborated closely with a core group of producers, including Rogét Chahayed, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, and Angel Lopez. Additionally, acclaimed musicians such as Hit-Boy, Tay Keith, and T-Minus contribute to the project.
To celebrate the release of “This Is Me… Now,” Lopez will simultaneously premiere “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” on Amazon Prime on February 16. Alongside the standard version of the album, Lopez will also release a deluxe edition featuring a 40-page booklet with exclusive photos and vinyl records in various colors.
