FX has recently given the green light to a new comedy pilot called “Snowflakes.” This half-hour series is set to bring laughter to audiences with its talented team of writers and executive producers. Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw are at the helm, joined by the renowned Nick Kroll, who is executive producing under his first-look deal with FX Productions. Karey Dornetto, Alicia Van Couvering, and Jonathan Krisel complete the executive producing team, with Krisel also taking on the directing role. FX Productions will handle the production.
An Alluring Premise
“Snowflakes” follows a group of twenty-something housemates who strive to be good people while navigating the challenges of codependency. The ensemble comedy promises hilarious moments as these characters try to find their way in life, even when they’re neither “good” nor quite “people” yet.
The Talented Team
Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, the creative minds behind “Snowflakes,” have an impressive resume. The duo spent four years as writers on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and made history as the show’s youngest writers. In addition, they recently released a collection of comedy short stories titled “Naked in the Rideshare: Stories of Gross Miscalculations” with HarperCollins in November 2023. Kronengold and Shaw are represented by UTA and Gang Tyre.
Nick Kroll, known for his work on the FX comedy “The League” and the Netflix series “Big Mouth,” is taking on the role of executive producer. Kroll has also appeared as a guest star on the hit FX show “What We Do in the Shadows.” His talent and experience make him a valuable addition to the “Snowflakes” team. Kroll is represented by UTA, Rise Management, and Schreck Rose.
Karey Dornetto, who previously worked as the showrunner on “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens” and as an executive producer on the IFC series “Portlandia,” is bringing her expertise to “Snowflakes.” Dornetto’s writing credits also include acclaimed shows like “Arrested Development” and “Community.” She collaborated with Nick Kroll on “Kroll Show” and recently contributed to the FX animated series “Little Demon.” Dornetto is represented by UTA, Artists First, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Jonathan Krisel, a director and writer, is responsible for bringing his creative vision to “Snowflakes.” Krisel previously directed the FX pilot “English Teacher,” which was ordered to series in November. His extensive experience includes writing, directing, and showrunning shows like “Baskets” and “Portlandia.” He also executive produced and directed “Kroll Show.” Krisel is represented by UTA, Mosaic, and Yorn Levine.
With such a talented team behind the scenes, “Snowflakes” is set to be a comedic gem that will keep audiences entertained.
