Alec Musser, best known for his roles in the ABC soap opera “All My Children” and the comedy film “Grown Ups,” tragically took his own life at the age of 50. The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Musser died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his home in Del Mar, Calif.
Musser’s fiancée, Paige Press, discovered his lifeless body on the morning of January 13th, just hours after she had last seen him the night before. The news devastated her, as she expressed on her Instagram Story, “RIP to the love of my life. I will never stop loving you. My heart is so broken.”
The shocking news of Musser’s untimely death spread quickly, prompting tributes from his “Grown Ups” co-stars Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek. Sandler took to Instagram to express his sorrow, writing, “I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person.”
Hayek, on the other hand, shared a clip from “Grown Ups” on her Instagram, showcasing Musser’s memorable scene at a water park. She fondly remembered him, saying, “He was so kind, professional, and absolutely hilarious. His early departure breaks my heart. I feel so blessed that I got to meet him. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones for this great loss.”
