When asked about the candidate quality that mattered most in their decision-making process, 40% of Iowa GOP caucus voters said they wanted someone who shared their values. Another 32% emphasized the importance of a candidate who fights for people like them.
The economy emerged as the most crucial issue for Iowa Republican caucusgoers, closely followed by immigration. Trump won the support of 52% of voters who prioritized the economy and 64% of those who prioritized immigration.
Stance on Abortion
Regarding abortion, 61% of Iowa GOP caucusgoers expressed support for a federal law banning most or all abortions nationwide, while 35% opposed it. Trump managed to secure the majority of voters (55%) favoring an abortion ban.
