The opioid crisis is a deeply concerning issue that continues to plague America. Shedding light on this problem, VMI Releasing has acquired the powerful drama “Junction.” Directed by Bryan Greenberg, known for his role in “How to Make It in America,” this film marks his directorial debut. Alongside Greenberg, the movie stars Josh Peck, Sophia Bush, and Jamie Chung.

Under the guidance of VMI Releasing, “Junction” is set to hit theaters and VOD screens on January 24th. The film tells the story of the modern-day opioid crisis from three different perspectives: the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, a doctor, and a patient. Each character must confront the decisions they have made and their role in the epidemic. Joining the cast are Griffin Dunne, Ashley Madekwe, and Ryan Eggold.

Chad Verdi, the head of VMI Releasing, expressed his admiration for the stellar cast, saying, “The cast of ‘Junction’ has been nothing short of spectacular. We’ve been very lucky to have such notable talent respond to Bryan’s amazing script.”

The intense trailer for the film gives a glimpse into the struggles faced by the characters, particularly Michael, played by Bryan Greenberg. Desperately pleading for a refill of opioids, he is thrown to the ground, exclaiming, “I don’t need a hospital. I need a refill. Just give me the refill.”

“Junction” was filmed in Rhode Island and produced by Verdi Productions and Public School Productions. The executive producers include Andre Relis, J.D. Beaufils, Tom DeNucci, Charles Hertzfeld, Ramin Arani, Scott Annan, and Thomas Sandgaard from the Sandgaard Foundation. Alongside Greenberg, the producers are Chad A.
