Emmerdale fans have been left scratching their heads over a recent “unrealistic” blunder involving newcomer Ella Forster. The character, played by former Coronation Street star Paula Lane, made her debut on the show earlier this week during a social event attended by Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle. However, viewers couldn’t help but notice a flaw in the storyline.

An Unrealistic Turn of Events

Ella worked as a personal assistant to Jules, a loud-mouthed managing director. After witnessing Jules verbally attack Ella, Mandy stepped in to offer her support. When Jules made mean comments about Mandy’s outfit, Ella took a stand by pouring a drink over her boss’s head and dramatically quitting her job.

Later, Ella returned to the Hide bistro to retrieve her coat and met up with Mandy. The two women discussed the events of the evening, with Ella revealing her intentions to find a new job. Little did she know that her comment was overheard by Manpreet Sharma, who happened to be in the vicinity.

A Job Offer You Can’t Refuse

Manpreet, impressed by Ella’s experience as a PA, wasted no time in offering her a job as a receptionist at the doctor’s surgery. Ella was thrilled by this unexpected encounter, but some Emmerdale viewers found the situation a bit hard to swallow.

Taking to social media, one viewer commented, “Random strangers getting job offers from GP’s surgeries in bars. So realistic.” Another chimed in, “As if you get a job like that in #Emmerdale!” It seems that the ease at which Ella landed a new job had fans raising a few eyebrows.

Realism vs. Soap Opera Drama

While it’s true that soap operas often take creative liberties with reality, some viewers felt that this particular storyline stretched believability a bit too far. One Twitter user humorously noted, “1st rule of soap: you can become a doctor’s receptionist without an interview or DBS check.” Another fan added, “See some random stranger in a cafe talking about looking for a job. Offer them a job that involves sensitive data… Yeah right.”

As Emmerdale continues to captivate audiences with its gripping storylines, fans will surely be keeping a close eye on future developments. Will Ella’s new job turn out to be a blessing or a curse? Only time will tell.
