During his career, Gail portrayed Stuart Carson, the fiancé of Brenda Walsh, played by Shannon Doherty, in eight episodes of the popular teen drama series “Beverly Hills, 90210.” He also took on the role of Dr. Joe Scanlon in “Port Charles,” appearing in 216 episodes after taking over from Michael Dietz in 1999.
Born on February 27, 1965, in Tampa, Florida, Gail made his television debut in 1990 on an episode of “Growing Pains” as a character named Norman. Besides his notable roles on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Port Charles,” he played Dean Collins on the WB soap “Savannah” from 1996 to 1997. His extensive television credits include appearances on shows like “The Round Table,” “Matlock,” “Robin’s Hoods,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “JAG,” and “Doogie Howser, M.D.” On the big screen, Gail made appearances in movies such as “Some Girl” (1998), “Bending All the Rules” (2002), “Perfect Opposites” (2004), and “The Belly of the Beast” (2008).
