Sky U.K. CEO Stephen van Rooyen Steps Down

Stephen van Rooyen, the CEO of Sky U.K. and Ireland, has made the decision to step down from his position. He will be officially departing the media conglomerate, owned by Comcast, in February.

Transition of Leadership

Effective immediately, Stephen van Rooyen’s team will report to Sky group CEO Dana Strong. This transition of leadership ensures a smooth continuation of operations within the company.

The Right Time

Explaining his decision, Stephen van Rooyen stated, “I have taken the decision that now is the right time for me to leave Sky. The business today has everything it needs to compete to win. We have strong leadership, led by Dana, a world-class team, and a fantastic plan. I would like to thank every one of my colleagues for the support I’ve received and the commitment they make to Sky. It has been a real privilege, and I will always be Sky’s biggest supporter.”

Significant Contribution

Dana Strong expressed her gratitude to Stephen van Rooyen, saying, “I would like to thank Stephen for his very significant contribution to Sky over the past 18 years.
