If you’re a fan of HBO Max in Latin America and the Caribbean, get ready for an exciting change! HBO Max is undergoing a transformation and will be rebranded as Max in these regions starting February 27. This move is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s global rollout plan, making Latin America and the Caribbean the first international region to embrace the newly named platform.

More Content and Enhanced Features

With Max, Latin American viewers will have access to a streaming catalog featuring over 37,000 hours of content. This is more than double the amount currently available on HBO Max in these countries. Just like in the United States, Max promises a more robust and reliable streaming experience. It will also offer enhanced personalization features and an improved user interface.

Content Lineup

Max in Latin America will continue to showcase content from Warner Bros. Discovery’s vast array of networks and studios. This includes popular networks like HBO, Warner Bros., DC Universe, Discovery, Discovery Home & Health, ID, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim. Additionally, the platform will feature first-window streaming rights to films from major studios like Sony Pictures and NBCUniversal in Spanish-speaking markets.

Moreover, Max will bring live programming such as “Awards’ Season” and live sporting events to select countries. Latin American creators and artists will also contribute to the platform with a variety of local original productions.

Subscription Plans

When Max launches in Latin America, it will introduce three subscription plans. Each plan will offer a choice of monthly or annual payment options. The plans include Basic With Ads (two streams), Standard (two streams with up to 30 offline downloads), and Premium (four streams with up to 4K resolution and up to 100 offline downloads). These plans and their features align with the offerings in the United States.

Seamless Transition for Current Subscribers

If you’re currently subscribed to HBO Max in Latin America, whether directly or through a partner, you will automatically have access to Max on February 27. Your existing HBO Max plan features and price will remain intact for a limited time after the Max launch. For those who took advantage of the 50% launch offer billed through HBO Max, the promotion will continue as long as the terms and conditions are met.

The transition to Max will preserve your current profiles, settings, and viewing history. Depending on your device or operating system, the HBO Max app will either update automatically to the Max app or prompt you to download the new Max app.
