Banijay Rights has sealed the deal for the gripping crime drama “Fallen,” created by Camilla Ahlgren, the acclaimed showrunner of “The Bridge,” and starring Sofia Helin. Produced by Banijay-owned Filmlance, a leading Scandinavian company, the series has already secured international sales.

A Stellar Cast and Global Distribution

The highly anticipated series was unveiled at the Goteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision conference. “Fallen” has been picked up by renowned broadcasters around the world. Canal+’s channel Polar+ in France, MHz Choice in the U.S., NPO in the Netherlands, SBS in Australia, ERT in Greece, and Syn Hf in Iceland are among the networks that have acquired the show.

Intriguing Plot and Talented Team

Written by Ahlgren, Martin Asphaug, and Alex Haridi, “Fallen” is a six-part drama featuring Sofia Helin and Hedda Stiernstedt. The series follows the story of Iris Broman, played by Helin, who becomes the head of Kalla Fall, a group dedicated to solving cold cases in Malmö. After a personal tragedy in Stockholm, Iris moves to the seaside town of Ystad, where she resides in her half-sister Kattis’ house. However, Iris’s arrival in Skåne reopens a cold case, leading to unexpected twists that intertwine the lives of multiple characters.

International Appeal and Success

“Fallen” was brought to life by Filmlance’s Anna Wallmark as the producer, with Lisa Dahlberg serving as the executive producer at TV4. The series is directed by Linnea Roxeheim, known for her work on “Portkod,” alongside Olof Spaak.
