Marissa Carmichael, a 25-year-old mother of five from North Carolina, has gone missing after making a distressing 911 call. The Greensboro Police Department is currently searching for her, according to an article by F5 Magazine.
The Mysterious Disappearance
Carmichael was last seen on January 14 at an Exxon gas station. She was wearing a white Tweety Bird t-shirt, blue jeans, and yellow sneakers. In her 911 call, made around 3:45 a.m., she expressed distress, stating that she was stranded and an unknown male had taken her purse and phone. She had no idea where she was at the time.
A Troubling Response
The police arrived at the scene approximately 40 minutes after the call, only to be informed by the store clerk that Carmichael had left with another customer. The situation took a more concerning turn when it was discovered that, later that day, a friend of Carmichael called her mother at 5 a.m. stating there was an emergency. However, the call abruptly disconnected, and subsequent attempts to reach Carmichael failed. A male voice on the other end claimed she had gone to the store.
The Investigation Continues
As the investigation progresses, officers have visited One17 SofaBar and Lounge, the last place where Carmichael’s friends had seen her. This new lead has provided additional information, which authorities are currently analyzing.
The Search for Marissa
Carmichael’s family has taken to social media, sharing pictures and missing persons flyers in hopes of finding her safe and sound. Emma Villegas, Carmichael’s sister, expressed her concern, stating, “This is insane. Where is my sister?? She would never ever do something like this and if you know her, you know she wouldn’t. She needs to be found SAFE n SOUND NOW!”
