Australia’s heartthrob actor, Jacob Elordi, has found himself in the middle of a police investigation following an alleged assault on a radio producer. The incident took place at the Clovelly Hotel in the Sydney suburbs, where Elordi was confronted by Joshua Fox, a producer for “The Kyle & Jackie O Show.” The altercation reportedly stemmed from a lighthearted joke about “Saltburn,” a reference to a scene from the movie of the same name.
According to Fox, he playfully asked Elordi for his bathwater to give to host Jackie O. However, things quickly took a sour turn. Fox stopped recording the encounter at Elordi’s request and agreed not to use the footage. But when he refused to delete it, the situation escalated. Elordi allegedly got up close and personal, demanding that Fox delete the video. Feeling cornered and intimidated, Fox changed his mind and decided to keep the evidence.
“The way they’re surrounding me, I’m thinking something’s going to happen here. Someone’s going to jump me or something. So I say no, I’m not deleting that,” Fox described on the radio show. “I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now, and this is the only evidence. And then Jacob kind of just flips, and he kind of pushes me against the wall, and his hands are on my throat.”
Reports confirm that the New South Wales Police Force is currently investigating the incident. “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel,” the police stated. Fortunately, Fox did not sustain any injuries during the altercation.
As of now, representatives for Elordi have not responded to requests for comment from NBC News, further adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
