Co-written by William Wages and Phillip Bellury, the film tells the story of Wayne, an aspiring singer-songwriter whose dreams of making it big in Nashville were shattered by a car accident. Now, struggling to support his family with a mundane 9-5 job, Wayne’s life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Claude Allen, a fading country music great portrayed by Beau Bridges. Together, they embark on a journey to Nashville, armed with one of Wayne’s songs and Claude’s fame and connections. However, they soon discover that the industry has changed, leaving them feeling hopeless. But Wayne refuses to give up and devises a plan to get their song out to the public, not for his own sake, but for Claude’s.
