Bud Light is bringing out the big guns for this year’s Super Bowl. In an effort to win back consumers after a tough period, the beloved Anheuser-Busch brew is unveiling a brand new ad during Super Bowl LVIII. This time, they’re introducing us to the Bud Light Genie – an affable creature who grants a group of friends an unforgettable night out. By the end of the commercial, the pals find themselves rubbing shoulders with none other than Peyton Manning, Post Malone, and UFC CEO Dana White.

According to Todd Allen, vice president of marketing for Bud Light, there is a universal truth behind the ad – “A weeknight out with your friends should be easy.” And it seems like Bud Light is delivering on that promise with this hilarious and entertaining spot.

Bud Light Genie

This ad marks a return to the humorous advertising that Bud Light is known for. Last year, they tried something different, showcasing Miles and Keleigh Teller dancing to hold music on their smartphones. While the change was interesting, it didn’t quite hit the mark. Bud Light sales suffered as they struggled to expand their customer base. But this year, they’re putting the fans first and leaning into humor once again.

Bud Light is no stranger to memorable ad characters. Over the years, they’ve introduced us to the likes of “Real Men of Genius,” Cedric the Entertainer, the iconic “I Love You Man” guy, and the Bud Knight. In fact, in 2021, they brought them all together in a single Super Bowl ad. Now, they’re ready to introduce the world to the Bud Light Genie, and it seems like this character is here to stay. Anheuser-Busch plans to create an exchange on Facebook Messenger where consumers can interact with the Genie and make their wishes. Some lucky individuals might just see their wishes come true.

In the past, Bud Light often made an early appearance during the Super Bowl, usually in the first quarter. But this time, they’re saving their spot for the second half. According to Allen, there’s a unique ending to the spot that will leave viewers wanting more. So, make sure to tune in to see how Bud Light finishes the story.

Bud Light is hoping that this Genie won’t be put back in its bottle anytime soon. Don’t miss out on this epic Super Bowl commercial that combines humor, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable wishes.
