Bestselling author Terry McMillan has joined forces with Lifetime to produce a captivating lineup of new movies, which will be released under the banner “Terry McMillan Presents.” With her previous novels turned hit films, such as “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” and “Waiting to Exhale,” McMillan’s latest movies for Lifetime will delve into the love and lives of African American women, perfectly aligning with Lifetime’s 40th-anniversary celebrations.

Later this year, the first batch of original movies under the “Terry McMillan Presents” banner will be announced, complete with casting information. This project marks the second collaboration between Lifetime and McMillan, following the success of “A Day Late and a Dollar Short,” which starred notable actors like Whoopi Goldberg, Mekhi Phifer, and Anika Noni Rose.
