Are you an aspiring filmmaker or industry professional looking to enhance your skills and advance your career? Look no further! The Quezon City Film Commission (QCFC) has joined forces with European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) to launch the first-ever EAVE marketing masterclasses. This collaboration aims to boost the thriving film industry in the Philippines and enable active participation in the global market.

Enhancing the Film Industry

The EAVE marketing masterclasses, organized by Luxembourg-based EAVE, are in line with the QCFC’s QC Screen Academy program. This program provides training for aspiring filmmakers and industry professionals, develops local talent, discovers creative storytellers, and enhances the competitiveness of the local workforce on a global scale.

“While Filipino and Southeast Asian filmmakers are renowned for their compelling and daring narratives, there remains a gap in understanding when it comes to identifying the right audiences and platforms for our films. A well-crafted film marketing campaign can be the deciding factor between success and failure. In this day and age, with the need for filmmaking to be more sustainable and profitable, emphasizing the importance of the business side of film has never been more crucial,” said Liza Diño, executive director of the QCFC.

The Masterclasses

The EAVE marketing masterclasses will take place in Quezon City, Philippines, on March 16-17. This exclusive event will select 30 Filipino and Asian producers and film industry professionals who are eager to take their careers to the next level. Please note that interested applicants must cover all related flight travel requirements and accommodations for their visit to the Philippines.
