Former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Ultimate Girls Trip” cast member, Brandi Glanville, has recently accused Andy Cohen, host of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” and executive producer of “Real Housewives,” of sexual harassment. Glanville’s legal representation sent a detailed letter to NBCUniversal, Shed Media, and Warner Bros. Discovery, claiming that an “inebriated” Cohen sent her a video message expressing his intention to sleep with another Bravo star while thinking of her, and even invited her to watch via Facetime.
In response to the accusation, Cohen released a statement clarifying that the video was intended as a joke to Glanville and featured former “Below Deck” star, Kate Chastain. He admitted that although it was meant humorously, it was inappropriate and apologized for his actions.
This incident comes in the wake of Glanville’s castmate, Caroline Manzo, filing a lawsuit against Bravo, NBCU, and Shed. Manzo alleges that Glanville sexually harassed and assaulted her during the filming of the upcoming reality series “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” in Morocco by forcibly kissing her and groping her. The lawsuit further claims that Bravo and the production arms of the network were aware of Glanville’s past misconduct but still hired her for the sake of ratings.
Glanville’s legal representation argues that the false narrative surrounding these allegations has led to a media campaign that has financially ruined her, and they place the blame on NBC and Shed Media for deliberately refashioning consensual moments between two adults as a #MeToo scenario. They also state that Glanville is part of an ongoing investigation into the reality television industry, where individuals are taken advantage of by the institutions they are associated with.
As of now, NBCUniversal has not responded to requests for comment on this matter.
