Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, is currently under investigation following allegations of assaulting a paparazzo. The incident occurred when a photographer attempted to get close to Swift, according to reports. However, Taylor Swift’s representative has provided a different account of the incident, stating that two individuals were lunging towards the singer, grabbing at her security personnel, and even threatening a female staff member.

The New South Wales Police Force has not confirmed Scott Swift’s involvement in the assault, but they did confirm that a 71-year-old man assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf in Sydney. The incident took place at 2:30 a.m. The Daily Mail was the first to identify the 51-year-old man as photographer Ben McDonald. While no medical assistance was required, the younger man reported the incident to the police.

TMZ has also released a video that seemingly shows a man resembling Scott Swift walking along a pier with Taylor Swift. When a photographer begins taking photos, another member of Swift’s team blocks the camera with an umbrella, leading to an exchange of unintelligible words in an aggressive tone.

Taylor Swift has been performing in Sydney for her “Eras Tour,” and the recent show was attended by celebrities like Katy Perry, Rita Ora, and her boyfriend, Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce.
