The team behind the London Action Festival is embarking on an exciting new venture called The Action Station. This series of live events aims to celebrate the best of film, TV, and the art of visual storytelling. The inaugural event, set to take place in New York City, will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the iconic TV series, “The X-Files.”

Joining forces with “The X-Files” creator Chris Carter are filmmakers Lauren Krattiger and Carly Blake, who will be showcasing their new documentary, “X Fan Retrospective.” This comprehensive exploration of the show’s influence features over 100 interviews with cast and crew, offering insights and stories from the creators, actors, crew members, and fans around the world.

Adding to the excitement, actor and comedian Joel McHale, who starred in the show’s 2016 revival and is a passionate fan himself, will also be in attendance. Together, this dynamic trio will delve into the impact “The X-Files” has had on pop culture and the lasting impression it has left on its devoted fanbase.

Reflecting on the show’s enduring relevance, Chris Carter stated, “It’s mind-bending to think that something we created 30 years ago is still as relevant in our conspiracy-obsessed culture today as it was when the show first captivated audiences in 1993.”

Joel McHale shares his uncontainable enthusiasm, stating, “‘The X-Files’ is simply one of the greatest shows ever made. If anyone has a problem with that, I will fight them. Believe me, when I was asked to guest star on the show, I thought I was being pranked. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. The ‘X Fan Retrospective’ documentary is a captivating journey through the beloved world of ‘The X-Files,’ and I am looking forward to being part of the celebration in NYC.”

The London Action Festival, founded in 2022 by Julian Alcantara and Ron Fogelman, has already seen two successful editions. With their combined talents, they are now launching The Action Station. Julian Alcantara expresses his excitement for the upcoming NYC event, saying, “We eagerly anticipate our first NYC event, fueled by the tremendous response garnered from both editions of the London Action Festival. We’ve received positive feedback not only from our appreciative audiences, who value our blend of entertainment and information, but also from the content providers across the industry who have shown incredible support for our events.”

Ron Fogelman adds, “Launching The Action Station with a NYC event honoring a cultural phenomenon, featuring the extraordinary documentary, and having the participation of legendary creator Chris Carter marks a truly special beginning. We’re hard at work to craft an unforgettable night and capture the spirit of the show and its dedicated fandom.”

Make sure to mark your calendars for May 3rd when The Action Station’s “The X-Files” event will take place at the SVA Theatre in New York City.
