Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in “The Bear,” is set to take on a new challenge playing the legendary Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming film about the making of his iconic 1982 album, “Nebraska.” The movie, titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” will be written and directed by Scott Cooper, while Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of the Gotham Group are producing.

The film is based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book, “Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.” It will delve into the journey Springsteen embarked on during the creation of his sixth studio album, a raw and soulful collection of songs that showcased a different side of the acclaimed “Born to Run” artist. “Nebraska” was recorded on a four-track cassette in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, a few years before his release of the iconic album “Born in the U.S.A.”

While no official deals have been made, A24 is reportedly in talks to join the project, and Scott Stuber, former chairman of Netflix Films, has joined as a producer. This film marks Stuber’s return to a major film project since his departure from Netflix.

Jeremy Allen White’s recent success in the critically acclaimed FX series “The Bear” has earned him a Golden Globe, Emmy, and SAG Award. Currently, White is busy filming Seasons 3 and 4 of the series in Chicago.
