MANSFIELD’S League Two clash with Accrington Stanley has been postponed.
Fans were left furious when the match was called off just 90 minutes before it had been set to go ahead at 3pm.
Travelling Stanley supporters will have already been well on their way to the game when news filtered through at 1:30pm.
Accrington to Mansfield takes a minimum two hours to drive.
Confirming the decision, Mansfield wrote on social media: “Mansfield Town expresses its disappointment in announcing that today’s Sky Bet League Two encounter at home to Accrington Stanley has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
“The match referee deemed the pitch unplayable following a routine inspection of the playing surface.”
