A WOMAN who uses horse shampoo has admitted people always laugh when she tells them.
But Marie’s long, lustrous locks are proof that the Mane and Tail shampoo – traditionally used on horses – works a treat.
Heading into her bathroom, Marie showed the two Herbal Gro shampoos she uses, as well as a deep moisturising shampoo.
And as an added bonus, her hair doesn’t even get oily in between washes.
“I probably wash my hair once or twice a week, and even when I go to wash it, it’s usually not super oily, so…” Marie said in her TikTok video.
“The girls that get it… get it,” she wrote in the caption.
And people quickly took to the comments section to weigh in, with one writing: “Don’t tell them!
“If it sells out and gets hard to find I’ll be so bummed!”
“Honestly, me too,” Marie replied.
“Cut my hair into a shoooort pixie back in November to start over with my hair and that’s all I have been using,” another said.
“My hair is so strong and healthy looking!”
“I’ve been using it since I was probably 10 years old,” a third revealed.
“My grandma always used it.”
“My grandma is the one that started me on this when I was younger!” Marie responded.
“I used that when I got the worst bob of my life and I will always believe that this is the reason my hair grew back fast,” someone else commented.
“I thought those were for dogs?” another questioned.
As Marie admitted: “It does do wonders for my pup’s hair as well!”
“I’ve been using it since I was a kid!” someone else said.
While another wrote: “My hair was down my back growing up and my mum used this!”
However, not everyone thought the Mane and Tail shampoo was so good for their hair.
“I tried to use this, it dried my hair out so bad,” one wrote.
“This stuff turned my hair to hay,” another claimed.
“I had to spend weeks just conditioning endlessly to get it back to a decent texture!”
“It doesn’t dry your hair?” a third questioned.
“Felt like the last time I used it, it got too dry.”
With Marie replying: “I’ve never had an issue with it drying out my hair.
“But everyone’s hair type is different so could be different for others!”
